Skin care with oil

Over the last two years, (maybe three) I've been using oil on my skin. It all started out with trying to find a way to fix my eczema. I developed really bad rough, scaly , white, patchy, and even at times, scabs, around multiple places on my body. I've went several doctors who then prescribed me ointments that had steroid in them, but it made my flares worse. The doctors said that it took time, and also prescribed me cream lotions that were supposed to help. Well, it didn't.
On my mission to find a way to manage the eczema, I read a story in the bible about oil being used to bind up wounds, but I also remembered it was in the book of Ester and also, oil being used after one fast.
As I looked further, I found other stories and verses talking about the use of oils from Queen Ester having a beauty treatment, Ester 2:12,"after twelve months under regulations for the women, since this was the regular period of their beautifying, six months with oil myrrh...". To the good Samaritan told by Jesus in Luke 10: 34, about the man being beaten and wounded, and several people passed by him and kept going, however, one man stopped and helped, "He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring oil and wine." (The Holy Bible ESV 2005)
I'm going to cover another verse about putting oil on the head. Which by the way, I put all over my body and on my face everyday, and my hair after I wash it. It smells so good. Anyway, my skin is softer and smoother and NO, I don't breakout with pimples all over my face. I find that I need it, and if I put too much oil on after I cleaned my face, I wait for a few minutes then I pat the excess off. Another verse in the Bible this one from the NIV Matthew 6:17, "But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face,..."
These are just some examples of what convinced me to try oil on my skin because even lotion wasn't working. I would put on lotion and then about an hour later, my skin was dry. I'm just explaining what worked and didn't work for me. So, when I first tried on oil. I started with my elbows with olive oil from my kitchen. I was rubbing oil on my car seats and I quit using the oil, but then tried it again during the winter when I would have long sleeves. And after using the oil for about a little over a week to two weeks, I started to notice a difference with my skin. Fast forward to the future, my skin did get better, but I started to notice that I had sun spots and now that was another issue so I went to the store and found Bio Oil. It was a little pricy, but I wanted to take care of my skin so I used the Bio Oil on my face and my body and not only did it smell great, but it took away the strawberry bumps that I had on my legs. Ever since, I've been using the Bio Oil.
Now, the Bio Oil isn't the only oil I use. I use Vitamin E, Vitamin C, and some other night oils for my face, and I use Johnson and Johnson Baby Oil , and Palmers Oil which work great too. I felt that I could try something that may or may mot help, but the only way for me to know and find out was to try. So I did, and I'm glad I did. My skin looks and feels amazing and I have people complement me about my skin.
My routine for the oil consist of me putting it on right after I get out of the shower and dry my self off. That's because it the best time my pores are open and my skin absorbs the oil best. For face, I put it oil after I wash my face.
